Filter to TEXT is a simple application used to convert a YA-NewsWatcher filter file into a plain text file, so that it can be edited using a text editor. The matching TEXT to Filter application will reconvert the text file back to a YA-NewsWatcher filters file.
These programs are provided as-is. Use them with care, and only with backup copies of your original filter and prefs files. save spare copies of your filter and prefs files in case of mishap.
Read the "Filter File Text Format" document for more information regarding the file format produced by the Filter to TEXT application and read by the TEXT to Filter application.
Note that when editing a text representation of a filter file, care must be taken to NOT insert hard line breaks in the middle of a long filter line.
